17" Firehawk wheels--New Production???

We made the original 17x9.5" R-15, et 10 Firehawk wheels for the 3rd Gen Firebirds.....
I am now considering, based on demand, having a NEW PRODUCTION run, limited number of these 17x9.5" 5 spoke wheels. They will be manufactured in Germany, as before, in silver clearcoat paint finish...with optional color matching available.
Anticipated delivery is Mid April....based on your interest!!!!!
App. pricing per wheel will be around the $250./wheel range, and complete wheel/tire packages will also be offered.
Contact me via email--if you haven't already---at
ronalusa@ronalusa.com
We also have an extensive website, at

Let me hear from you......

Picture is correct...

We will be making the wheels, as pictured, only in silver clearcoat finish. Custom color finish (painting to match any color) will be available...
Thanks for the photo.

I would have been extremely interested about a year ago. Its too bad I already purchased a set of rims. However I can assure you that the demand for those wheels is high, because the wheels look fantastic on Camaros as well.

Wow. They're priced a lot better than I expected. They're definately priced affordably.

Would I buy them? Honestly... I'm undecided. I certainly like them, but I'm unsure if they are my number 1 choice.

Do I think that others would buy them? Yup.

I would definately reccomend that if you do decide to start production, that you think about offering them in 4th generation offsets as well. That will bring the wheels to a whole new market.

I do believe alot of people would buy them, but I also believe quite a few people will drop out on them. Once they become a regular wheel and anyone can get, the rare factor of them is no longer there and less people care about them.

However, I still don't doubt there are alot of people who'd want them.

The question would be would 17x9.5 fit into the front wheel wells of the 3rd gen? I was under the impression that even putting slightly larger tires on the original 16x8 rims would cause a rub on the inner fenderwall.
What size tire would go on that if you (like me) had the 16" wheels as stock equipment?

I would be seriously interested if they would fit without doing any damage!

I know 17X9 fits perfect. Unsure about any larger though.

I have 17x9.5" wheels on all four corners, no rubbing. They grip like a dream. My car corners like no other that I have driven and I still have a lot of mods to do the suspension.

Hey Gary I have a question

You said that you'll paint to match thats great, but will they be about the same $$$$ or can you give us and Idea on how much.
In addition I'm looking for the concept look(2nd photo) all red with the firehawk caps(per the first photo), is that an option? email me direct if you like

Looks like my plans for cam swap this summer might change. I was just drowling over these wheels on some camaro the other night. I do think it would be a good idea to make the offsets for 4th gens also if you're looking to make a profit. If not, keep it 3rd gen only .
How much is the whole package going to cost with tires? Any estimates?

Adam, what's the backspacing on your wheels and what size tires are you running? Thanks.

They came on a 91-92 Firehawk. No modifications necessary. Now I am just wondering how 315 Nittos's would look on the back. I'll say it again, I AM IN. I WANT THESE WHEELS.

damn. I've really on the fence on these wheels. I told myself I wouldn't buy anything else until I got all my parts on. Maybe I should just send them the $50 just in case

I wonder if those wheels will look as good on a not-as-swoopy looking 85-90 T/A?

Any ideas? Pics?

I'm in regardless though...I think.
