Anybody ever think of doing a TA30th aniversery theme, on a thirdgen. It would be white with the blue racing strips, Ram air II hood, 4thgen wing, blue 30th TA rims, and TA ground effects. Heres a pic of that TA, I'm thinking of.

 

I will oneday do this, but I'm not going to do it on my V6, cause I got a Cowl hood lined up. And if I do it to a firebird its going to be a real TA witha fatty 350 under the hood. :hail:

 

how and where would you get the blue 30th trans am rims?

 

Have a set of standard WS6 T/A rims painted with blue clearcoat. Or find a way to andonize them.

 

You can still buy them from your GM dealer. Or they are sometimes on eBay.

I would love to see that look done on a thirdgen. If my thirdgen were white, I would go for it.

You know, I think it'd be cool for those non-TTA white 89 TA/GTAs. Every anniversary year except the 89s and of course the latest yellow ones had a white and blue theme. It would be fitting IMO, but would still be decent looking on any white thirdgen.

 

Bluerims = easy.

Get a set of standard polished rims which are readily available on Ebay...then have them powdercoated with translucent blue.

 

Who wants to work up the courage for a photoshop?

 

The 25th Anniversary stripe would be easier with a stock hood. I contimplated this a while back but would like to see what it would look like before shelling out the $$$$.

I did a photochop for ya . I got the 30th wheels and the seats ,but the car I used had a RA1 hood , so I used a 25th anny stripe . Looks pretty sweet IMO .

Just an FYI the 10 ann. was silver and the yellow one was not an anniversay car.That pic below looks good though.I like the RAI much better on the 3rd gen.

Flyinlow - if you can find me car with a white RA2 hood at or very close to that angle I can do it . I dont have alot of time to scour the net for pics . Shoot me a link if ya find one .

Maybe you can just change the color to white on the above car, add the rims and the blue stripes....

since i had it around, here's a donor picture for you that should work if you flip it horizontally. (i've been looking for a cheap one of these for a while... if anyone knows of an automatic, low mileage one on the east coast, let me know)

I thought about doing it to the T/A when I had it painted but was talked out of it by the board.

I think I prolly would have liked that better even though prowler orange was an awesome color.

 

Haha, my car's gettin all sorts of photochop treatment Why not try the 30th twin stripes on my RA-1 hood instead of on the RA-II, i think that'd look pretty neat
