Thinking about getting one of those solarwings. What do guys think of them? And if anyone has pics it on a car, preferably on a white car.

Here is a shot of the solar wing II on my car. Some people like it and some don't. It is not just for looks it serves a purpose. It keeps the sun off your back.

It looks cool if you also have headlight covers.

Accually if you have your windows tinteda nd the tint doesnt really attatch to the black dots on top of the window it covers it up.

Hey what part of MN are you from? You don't have to go through all the trouble of getting a pic, unless you want to.

Yeah its forsale. And yes the price is on the rise everytime I install something. The car is 80% restored, and I really want it to be 100%, so I'll just keep restoring it until it sells. I'll sell it right now for $7,000. And if I put everything that I had planned to Id sell it for around $11,000. Right now I have over $15,000 invested. Which I know I won't see.

i'm not against the idea in anyway, if you like it go for it........personally, i wouldn't put it on my car, i think it detracts from the overall look. but it's just my opinion.

as far as covering up the tint that's pealing, why not just get a good tint job? i wouldn't put the solar wing on unless you like it.....i think louvers look much better than that and i'm sure most of you know how people feel about those.

I do have a good tint job, I've just noticed a lot of people on the board bitching about how their tint looks on the top. It doesn't cover up any part of the 3rd brake light, And it is made out of the same plastic as taillight covers so you can see the red through anyway. I've had it for a year when it started to sag. Hope that answers all the questions.

Umm, I guess it's a part you either love or hate. Personally, I think it looks like poopie, kinda like rear louvers. But it's your car, so personalize it and have fun.

I think I'm going to pass on that one. Especially if theres a chance of it flying off. That would be $90 thrown in to the wind. How about some nice dark tint? thanks for the comments and pics.

You have a nice clean car but thats not for me. If everybody liked the same things the world would be boring.

Paint it white and see how it would look. Maybe it would match better. Or photoshop a pic like that someone

If you could get it clear and paint it the color of your car on the back side, and it didn't sag, then maybe.

Doesn't look to bad, but personally I don't like it and wouldn't do it to my car. BUt like they said, it's your car you'll have to decide. I would take the 90 bucks it cost and buy headlight and tail light covers instead.

I already have blackouts. I thnk I'll take the car in and have the windows dipped, instead of trying to tint them myself.

I wouldnt put one on my car though I dont think it looks all that bad. I cant keep the sun off my back with my t-tops so I'm screwed. It wouldnt serve much use to me, I'll just burn up anyway Tell you what... ask a whole lot of chicks and see what they say. If they say it would look good who cares what the guys say! I would rather impress the chicks
