Nice stripes

look I got stripes too. I also got a Z28 black grill (about $35-$45) easly instal. Take out RS grill and but in Z28 grill all you have to do is drill one hole to the left of the center part of the grill on the side and put in a black screw really easy. I'm also going to get black headlight caves to match.

I also had black outline my stripes, and on the rear spolier instead of them going straight down, they curve around (about 3/4 inch from bottom of spoiler) I also put on red and black iroc stripes on the bottom, just to be differant.

I got the stripes from ThirdGenResource for around $220. They were harder than they look to put on. For me it was a pain in the @$$. I took me about 4 straight hours to complete the job. 4 hours of positioning and squeegeeing. I didn't get them perfect, there are some minute bubbles that will go away with time and tiny tears in the pinstriping, but from about two feet away they look flawless! That's okay though because the car is 11 years old...the stripes can look like it too. I'm happy with 'em. As for putting these stripes on a hood with louvers, have fun cutting it to fit! I think it would look great though.

Nice stripes!
But I was wandering what yall ment about the Z-28 grill. I have a '86 Z-28 and it has the same grill as his car. Are yall talking about something that just came on some years?

Nice car though.

My cousin has stripes and louvers. Looks real good if you get the 25th aniv stripes. The stripes and louvers have the same shape.

Also about the grill, mine is from a 91 Z28. If you have a Z28 but not the grill the orig owner may have got the car without driving (fog) lights when it was new. My grill has a bowtie on it. The older grills (irocs and z28) said camaro in the center.

In 85-87 foglamps were standard on the IROC. They were optional on all models in '86, and may have been optional on the '85 and '87 Z/28's (I'm not at home near my documentation right now and can't remember for sure). The grille with the word Camaro on it is commonly referred to as an IROC grille, and was used from '85-'90 on cars with gfx and foglamps. In '91 and '92 the word Camaro was replaced with a red bowtie on the foglamp grille, and that is what is being referred to. From '85-'92 all non-foglamp cars with gfx got the grille pictured above.

Awesome, not only do they look sweet, but you DIDN'T put them on the roof.

I never got why people put racing stripes on the roof. Look at old Camaros, Chevelles, and such...None had them on the roof.

Looks ridiculous with em on the roof.

Great looking car
