Well it won't be long before I start redoing the body of my RS. Here's the plan so far: I'm adding a Crossfire hood. Going to paint it Viper Red with black headlight buckets and a red grill. I am also thinking about painting the GFX black. What does everybody think? Anybody have pics of something similar?

 

I think you should have one of the guys who's good at photo-shopping try this combination out for you. Red wiuth black ground effects sounds like a striking combination, but i think you'll find out most of us on here prefer one color vs two-tone.


Have you thought about maybe painting it all red (including grille) with black headlight pockets and adding the iroc stripes that go along the car above the rockers? Are you going to keep your stock rims?

 

I'm with bradkeith on this one. It's a real big commitment to make without "seeing" it first.

 

Yes I know its a Firebird and not a Camaro, but it may give you an idea

I'm keeping my stock rims, the 91-92 16" wheels repainted red instead of the current " bitchin' pink" . Redraif, your car is awesome, stock sucks, it was your car that made me want to paint my GFX black. I need to take some good pics and the let the photoshoppers go to work.

 

You know if you did paint your car with black ground effects, your wheels would look "kick ***" with the wheel inserts painted black. It would make the rims really stand out.

Stock my car had the silver bottom with that orange silver and black stripe. Man, that was the first thing I changed. I chose black since it was my favorite color & I had really wanted a black car. I know you couldn't tell that by all the red. Hey I had to go with what worked. Red is my runner up color. If I had gotten a black car, who knows what it would look like. Knowing me it would have had chrome tint. Gots to be different.
