Poll about rims

Hey all, I have found 2 awesome sets of rims I would Like to get for my car, but I dont know which one to choose. The first pic is of Niche Thrashers, and The second pic is of Niche Serpents, like what redraif has on her car. Please tell me what you think! Oh, and thanx to jawsforlife1 for the photoshopping, he did good.

I have to agree with DISTURBthePEACE ... I think they would fit better on an older custom rod or something like that. But it´s your car and you do what u want with it.

BLING BLING!!

The look totally "BLING BLING", but it's your car-get what makes you happy.

You are asking the wrong crowd for an opinion on those types of rims....

Hay i just noticed, redraif has those wheels. She had to get special adaptors because those were 4 lug wheels.

What size were you planning on getting? They look like 22s in the pictures. I personally don't think they fit the understated look of your car.

I going to have to agree with thewraith on this one. Your car would look better with some more "traditional" thirdgen wheel choices.

Ya, thats where I first saw the Serpents at, and I think they look good on her car. I found 5-lug serpents and thrashers, so I shouldn't need special adaptors for them. She said they discontinued them, but I found a site that still sells them, so iunno.

those are the 2 worst rims I 've ever seen for a thirdgen in my life.

I'll show you good thirdgen rims when I get home later. I have them bookmarked.

I'm not gonna lie, I like my stock rims just fine, but I have not seen a single set of "traditional" aftermarket rims that I like. The five-spoke design is old, everything has it. I like being origional, and these set my car apart from anyone else's on here (exept redraifs). I'm not big on rims, but these two sets really stuck to me. I guess I just like more of the slick look then the traditional one.

Oh ya, anyone else gonna flame me or are you through with criticizing my taste?

IMO Any 3 spoke rims and the rim right above this post are very 80's and I don't like. The rim 3 above this post is cool. I like racing rims more than artsy wheels.

IROC Rims

Just got a set of these 17 X 8 Polished IROC rims yesterday from Performance Wheel Outlet. I also got a set of 245/45/17 NITTO NT 555's to go with the rims. I think that these are the best looking rims that you can put on a 3rd gen Camaro, by far. I almost went with the 10 spoke chrome SS 17 X 9 wheels from SLP but I did not really want to use wheel adapters so I opted for the IROC's instead, plus I thought that the 10 spoke SS rims showed too much of the brake rotors, I dont know about you but I want the focus to be on the rims not the brakes. Total cost for the wheels & tires was almost $1,600.00. I will post some pics after I wash my car this weekend.

Hey Disturb,
What site still has them? I was told by everyone they were discoed. Niche must have held some back or sold to one place no one knew about.

I liked the Thrashers as well, I just thought they were to much chrome for a red car.

There were a set of Neepers I really loved. I think they were called Vaders. They were my second choice. They fit better with the styling of the third gen body style, but I had fallen for the Serpants. They were harder to get. The "you can't have it" syndrome I guess. That and I saw them rolling one day and fell in love. I wish I had a shot of the Vaders. They are a 3 spoke design with as little chrome as the Serpents, but the have sharper angles.

I'll verify the name when I get home and let you know. Maybe your place has them as well. If I had the $ I would have gotten them as well. For the next 3rd gen project when it comes.

If you can find them...

American Racing Hurricane or Hurricane II rims.
Centerline look great too!
I wish I could find a picture of the Hurricanes. Am I getting too old? LOL!
I remember it being a fad painting between the blades on the Hurricanes to match the body color! They really do look good.

The site is http://www.inlandwheel.com/html/niche.html. I e-mailed them about prices but they haven't gotten back to me yet. It might just be a site that hasn't been recenty updated, I'm not for sure. I'm also not sure about the 5-lug pattern on the serpents, but the thrasher picture is 5-lug.
