Stock shift light

I was wondering if there was a stock shiftlight in any of the 89 Camaro RS. The reason I am asking is cuz there is a little hole in my tac that looks like there should be a light there, but I don't know. This is a crappy pic, but it's the best I got. You can kinda tell where there is an indent in my tac, I circled it too.

There isn't a stock shift light in the tach, there is one where I made the yellow square though, there was probably a screw where the indednt is, but thats a guess.

It is exactly where 5SIZ put the square. There is even one in standards. I can see mine real well when the sun is behind me and the top is down

Pull the bulb on it if it becomes annoying

If you have an automatic, you will not have a bulb. It a standard you should. It is to the right of the 'check engine' light.

5-speed, no shift light. The thing I circled was a screw, but I had to look hella hard. what is the bulb # on that light so I can put one in?

Ditto on the bulb number. I also saw that in there but I have an auto. Just thought it would be cool to have the bulb come on when it should be shifting. So I know how things are going.

If you can't find a bulb number, I'll probably just steal the bulb out of another thing like the park-brake one, or the seatbelt light

Only thing that sux is that the stock shiftlite is for coserving fuel and it comes on to tell you to shift early. It won't come on at high RPM's in a race situation

I bet it would with a little PROM burning, except the car wouold be shifting at those RPMs as well though wouldn't it?

It would be cool to set teh light really high, for racing purposes, yet maintain the stock shift points for regular driving.

i have an 88 formula 5 speed, and i have shift up and shift down lights on the gauge to the left of my tach. little light up arrows. i never noticed until i was running the codes on it, staring at the blinking check engine light, and i was like, hey, when the hell was that there? anyway, i have one, maybe you could find a junk formula in the yard and yank that one gauge and pop it in your camaro?

I opened up my gauge thing to look for a bulb and take it into autozone and I'm not only missing the shift light, but the water temp and low-oil light. It's like they were never there. I don't know how to get the bulb in there even, there is like a little plastic block in the back, or thats what it looks like. Iunno though, I guess I'll keep tryin.
