91 Bird to 85-90 Ground effects

Has anyone done this? How hard would it be? I know I'll need the two bumper covers, and all the side peices. What problems am I going to have with the front bumper change?

Has anyone ever used the 85-90 ground fx with a 91/92 nose peice? What would that look like?

Hey keith what are you going to do with the extra peices? I'm going the opposite way you are. I've put a 91 bumper on my 85 and I'm looking for the GFX for the sides.

lol! I'm going the opposite of you too.
I have an 86 T/A that I'm putting the 92 gfx on(all except the front bumper cover). I've already put the 92 rear bumper cover on and it seems that the 92 rear honeycomb(underneath)is a bit bigger then the 85-89 style-so I think you might need to grab one from a donor. On your front-if you go w/the older nose-you'll need to grab everything underneath the hood from ahead of the radiator--headlights, front honeycomb(and maybe the crashbar) and the piece that the hood latch comes through too(forgot what it's called).
Forgot--I only put the rear quarter gfx on but I had to redrill all the mounting holes--doors will need to be drilled too--so you'll have to redrill all your mounting holes too--don't forget to grab the mounting brackets for the 85-89 gfx(they're different).

You redrilled the holes for the rear quarter gfx? Did you use anything as a template or did you just measure? I've got to do the same thing, I've got the 87 trans am nose on the front with the 91 bumper on the rear, same thing you've done!

I did it the lazy man's way and lucked out. I usually use masking tape to make a template for the new holes-but didn't have any-so I just eyeballed where the gfx should go and made marks and jusr drilled--worked like a charm!
Someone had mentioned that they used cardboard which would work too.
How's it look so far?

Has anybody got pictures of their combinations? I would love to use the 91/92 Ground FX nose peice with the 85-90 Sides and Rear Bumper.

I don't have ground FX at all right now.

This is the same car as I bought it off the lot. I got it for $450. It's still messy inside, but I think I have made a big improvment outside since I've I've spent on it is 2 wheels a 2 tires, and some soap and water. Oh and a little white paint from Wal-mart.

I've actually got the rear bumper off of a 91 GTA, side skirts off of an 88 Camaro RS and the front off of an 87 Trans am. I used some fiberglass and a little bit of filler, pulled out the camaro logos and filled in the holes. It looks cool right now but I think I want the fx from the 91-92 years on the sides. I got the camaro fx for free.. what can I say? I don't have a pic right now though.
