There's gonna be like 6 bolts under the front of the dash pad, and then four screws/bolts up where the defroster vents are. When you look under the dash, you'll see like 12-14 bolts, but the ones that are farther back are holding in your A/C ducting. So just take out the ones in front, it's only 4 or six. Once all the bolts are out, you can slide the dash pad back and then out. Just be careful, cause I accidently let a corner of mine hit the floor and it cracked it a bit. Odds are tho, that if they fell through the defroster vents, that they are at the bottom of the dash, and you may be able to get to em easier if you pull out the stereo and see if you can find 'em in the back.

my mirror came off ok my car was shaking so badly after i did a few burnouts in a row that it just fell off. so when i went to go glue the metal backin on the mirror arm i marked the place with a crayon so i could see where it was originally making sense yet. well while tracing something caught my attention and i droped the crayon and it rolled into the vent.

You mean pull the radio out to get access to the back of the dash? You sure can, I did it when I ran the wiring for the LEDs in my A/C vents. Once you get the dash off, you'll see there's like a cavity that goes down the middle and you can reach all the way to the bottom. Well, you could if the windshield wasn't blocking your way.

O.k., to remove the radio, you're gonna have to take out the four torx screws that hold in the cover for the radio and climate controls. Once you get that off (this is assuming you still have the factory radio) there will be like 2 bolts on each side. You undo those and pull the radio out. Then disconnect any electrical connectors and pull that thing out. Now that's not access to the vents, it the access to the back of the dash. If the stuff you dropped is in the vents, you can get to it without taking out the radio cause the vents run right underneath the dashpad. But if it fell through the vent holes and down behind the dash, then you'll have better luck trying to get to it from the radio. I would do it like this:
1. pull off dash pad. if you can see the things you dropped when you pull it off then consider yourself lucky. If they aren't readily visible, get out of the car and look through the windshield so you can see behind the dash.
2. If you can see it part way down, then see if you can feel your way around inside the dash to retrive them.
3. If you still don't see them, then remove the radio and see if they're laying at the bottom. Don't try and remove the climate controls, it's too much of a hassle and removing the radio will give you more than enough access.
4. If after that you still don't see them, then they'll just have to stay wherever they are. Cause those dice would have to be so lucky that they won you the lottery, cause you are in for a ton of disassemble to get the whole dash out. Trust me, after replacing my heater core, replacing the dash speakers in my brother's 89 RS, and putting the aformentioned lights in my A/C vents, I'm more than content to leave the entire dash intact.
Hope that helps, and good luck, Joe
