Personally, I feel that the RA2 blisters look out of place when they're on an otherwise flat front end. They look nice when the hood is raised on the sides of it, like the new 'birds, but I've just never liked them by themselves--they're so huge. The RA1 hood is alright though...
Are you talking about the ASCD hood? Or the GT-Auto Ram Air 2 style hood?
I personally prefer the ASCD hood because the lines match perfectly. It's like it was meant to be there in the first place.
It's your money.

My 2 cents worth......
I agree with snowdog, the ASCD hood seems like it matches the relatively square front end of the third generation cars. Where the Ram Air II hood looks better to me on the fourth generation cars. Hey, just my 2 cents worth...... Good Luck, Joe

The hood is ready to be painted right out of the box. The quality of the ASCD hood is excellent and I would highly recommend it for anyone. It's not too hard to fit either. I had to put some shims in to line it up left and right, but other than that the fit was great for a fiberglass hood.
