Front end damage ... How bad is it ?

I bought i Z28 pretty cheap a couple years ago cause it had some damage to the passenger side front end. I have another front bumper and another hood for it, still need to pick up the fender. The only thing i did not plan on doing myself was straightening out the radiator core support which is slightly bent. I'm not sure what something like that costs or what's involved. I've attached a zip file with some pics, if anyone could take a look and give any insights on whether this is easily doable or maybe more involved than i think. thanks ......

your file did not attach. maybe you could just post one of the top of the rad. suport and inner fender? From what you describe, it should not be too hard.

that isnt the radiator support,my front end was crushed and my radiator was fine, that is your headlight bracket. its one piece taht goes across,it bolts through the front clip to the fenders. youll need a new fender. the front end piece could be used again, mine was in worse shape n i did all the bidy work to fix it.its not hard to do at all.

doesnt look that bad... i would go ahead and fix it as long as it doesnt have any frame damage.

the core support does not look too bad in the pics. It looks like the fender gave more than anything. I would try to pull it out yourself. The easy way is to use a come along and try to pull it out the way it went in. your pull will need to come up slightly. I would use a tree and put your chain around the tree about a foot higher than the radiator support, and gently pull it out. be careful not to get in the way of the ratchet, and work the creases out as it comes forward. I hope I haven't lost you on my explanation.

Thats not bad at all.

This is a car I just picked up to fix for a buddy. He hit a 2002 cady doing about 15mph.

Pulled the old clip ina few hrs and had this one one the same night.

Next is to swap the gfx for 91-92 also.. and rims. then the rest of the body work, new p.side door and fix the dent in the rear.

Where do you guys think a good place to get a whole new front clip is. Everything in Front of the Honey Comb Bumper. Its for the car described in my sig, IROC that is.

Thanks

tpi383: have you considered changing the rest of the ground effects? it may just be me, but it looks a little wierd with the bigger ground effect with the smaller ones. i have an 84 camaro i was thinking about fixing up with a broken ground effect, then i bought a wrecked 85 that happened to have a good one, but it was bigger...

Hey what rims are those?[/B]
The Wheels are ten years old. They were made by American Racing. They had the proper offset for the Firebird. Since one of the wheels were damaged in the accident, I now have to replaced all four wheels. These wheels are no longer available.

I have already purchased new wheels and tires. The wheels are 16x8 AT Italia 5 Razzas. The tires are BF Goodrich Comp TA 245/50 VR-16s. Please see attachment
