acquire a spare car battery, tie the negative terminal to a good chassis ground and the positive terminal to the pink wire on the switches.

so can i use the stock ground wire i use for the negative terminal on the battery and just run an extended power wire up to the center console where the switches are and touch it to the pink to make it work??

my battery is in the back, so i figure i'd just run an extension of the power up to that lead to make the switch lower or raise the window....is that correct?

as long as the ground is connected to the chassis, all you need to do is run the power to the pink wire. It doesn't matter where the ground connects to the body, so long as it does connect to the body.
