hey guys, very sad day for another 3rd gen.

hi,
just thought i would tell you guys,my car went up in flames sun.
started it and i dont know what happen, fire started shooting out everywhere in the engine bay,we tried to put it out with rags, and then grabbed the water hose,of course the water hose was frozen,"go figure"and the whole car ingulffed in flames, only thing left on the car itself thats any good,is 3 wheels, and one t-top,and one ground effect.thank ***,my complete motor, and 6 speed are alright. minsurance quoated just under 1500 for it,what a joke insurance companies are, well now i have an even bigger project,im going to try and rebuild it,so if anyone has some body panels close to me let me know,i want to make it look like a 91-92 z28,i need nose piece, and rear bumber cover,i have a hood and drivers side fender, also will need the full ground effects kit for a 91-92 z,also am looking for a complete black interior, and 97- camaro dash,or trans am dash"93-97",and if anyone has some good doors that would be helpful also,my doors are alright, just needs new glass and seals, but if i can a couple good ones, ill just go that way,

it might be easier to just find one with a blown engine or a bad transmission....that way you don't have to completely rewire the whole chassis, etc. and it'd be drivable while you mod it

hi,
thanks alot guys for your concerns, its going to be tough, but i do have that "pretty much complete parts car"so the wiring shouldnt be all that hard, right out of one,and into another,my 86 was a tpi car,so im going to just take everything out of it,and wire my 84 up for tpi,and power windows, and locks,
i have a question
the metal behind,my t-tops wringled, some people i have talked to said, just make it a convertable, would that be much harder than pulling all the wringles out of it?there is like 3 deep wringles accross it,also,if so,what all would i have to change,i know a different trunk, but is the rest of the body the same,im going to have to change out the hatch anyways,i had an idea,if i was to keep it t-top,i could just cut the top off the other one,but then,i would have to have it like perfect welding it back in,because of the t-tops,well just a thought, thanks again guys,
and sorry to here about ur 85 "dui",by the way what happened to yours?

Yeah I know how it is. I slipped on some ice coming home from work and hit a guard rail. S**t happens and when it does, we pay for it.

well technically you could probably, depending on how badly damaged the frame is, a friend off mine wrecked his 87 iroc and it was just as bad looking as yours, and he had his fixed, costed him around 3 grand though, you will probably be better off just getting another camaro, and selling yours for parts

iggy1991 its just cosmetic right? Then it should be a new fender and nose or used ones and then repaint.

I'm pretty sure its just cosmetic too. When it gets looked at by the car place they will tell me if its all bent out of shape but if not its gonna get a new nose and fenders.
