I have a 4th gen steering wheel...the splines are different than my stock steering column though...the steering wheel has 2 flat areas that the column does not have. Has anyone else had this problem or is there a way to fix it?

My car is a 1985 Z28

Air bag steering column would be the easiest way. They have the flat spaces you describe. Or modify your present steering column.

I put a 4th gen Camaro wheel on my 86 Trans Am column and it went on just fine.

That is identical to my dash with my '91 RS steering wheel. Those flat spots concerned me too at first, and they do have a purpose. They correctly line the steering wheel up on the shaft like a little key-way. When I installed mine, I just put the bolt on and tightened it and the wheel slid right on. I made sure I had the wheels perfectly straight and the steering wheel as close to center as possible before torquing on the wrench. A few splines on the shaft probably got ground flat, but hey, it worked!

yep it is a 90-92 camaro steering wheel and man the horn is so hard to push. you might want to try the horn before you need to use it to see how hard you have to push it. but man it looks really good with whe older gauges.
