I have a Spair dash shell(out of my 91 vert)It has the harness but was cut prior to me getting the car)

I'll let the dash itself go for $100 + shipping. and Im sure you can find a harness cheaper else where.

I have the cluster toobut you would need a new contact sheet for the back.(the plastic electriclal sheet. I pulled it off to experement with some things.) I'll toss that in for nothing.(the cluster)

E-mail me if interested

When he, or someone else manages to get a dash, gauge cluster, trim bezels, chassis wiring harness, tail light wiring harness, ecm, engine wiring harness, and the dash brackets, to his door, for less, without calling someones brothers uncles sisters cousin for a favor, and providing perfect non hacked up parts.... for less than $450, please LMK....

You've already found the parts you need, if you have any trouble with the swap, advice will be around.

Why do you need the dash shell and wiring to change the cluster?OR are you going for the different style and the dash shells are different?

The dash is different, the 90-92 changes the whole shell along with the cluster, basically, easiest way without hacking into everything is to replace the entire wiring harness to the whole car, along with the dash shell, it seems like its too much of an involved swap for bill over here, or he hasnt researched it enough.

Why such the attitude Zricer?Bill only asked if we though that was a good/fair price. He never said he thought he was getting screwed or anything like that,he just asked about price.Calm down man.

Personally I would hope that would come with the gauges shown or the 145 cluster though..Hopefully you didnt lose the sale

The comments werent only based on what you see in this post, please keep that in mind, no its for the normal 115 cluster, for the price its a steal, that does include shipping on something quite large and heavy, this is not just a plastic dash shell, he's getting

Dash with wiring still attached and un cut, this liteally is unbolted at the firewall, the grounds, rivets drilled out where it goes through the rear for the fuel pump connection, rear tail light wiring harness, speaker wires, LITERALLY the entire inside car harness.

The entire under hood harness, which connects to all the lights, engine accessories, sensors, etc.

The metal brackets that are spot welded to the car where the dash bolts up, they are different for the 90-92.

The ECM for the tbi car. Still hooked up to this harness.

A great deal of care, time, and effort goes into taking all of this out without harming it, hacking it up, etc.

And for the record, the dash coming with my gauges you saw, you may now put down the crack pipe and step away.

Honestly I dont know if its a good price. These kind of parts are worth what someone will pay. And like Z28r*cer said, it is alot of work to remove that stuff without messing it up (I should know I just got done doing it and got so frusturated i just cut it all up and threw it away). Getting a 90-92 dash in there wont be a problem, but getting the 90-92 cluster in there will be alot of work. Alot of differences between a 89 and the 90-92. As you probably already know, getting your 89 to 90-92 specs will require alot of wiring changes, possibly a new tranny (Dont think 89 700r4 supports VSS). I dont think its worth all that trouble for the 90-92 guage cluster. But the 90-92 dash does look alot better than the 89. So you might just want to do what Z28r*cer did and swap in the 90-92 dash, but make your own cluster. That will give you the 90-92 look but you dont have to hack up the wiring. I say find just the dash itself at a junkyard and use aluminum to make your own cluster. Sell your current guage cluster to buy new autometer guages. You'll probably spend less, and it will be less than 1/2 of the work. Just my .02.

I'm kind of in this situation as well with my 89, but I decided to just make my own whole dash out of aluminum (using the stock 89 dashboard). Alot lighter than the other stuff (this is in a track only car) and I can place the guages exactly where I want.

Also keep in mind, I paid $550 for a complete 4th gen dash and cluster out of a 99 T/A going into my 91Z. Didnt come with all the wiring and ECM and stuff, but it is almost 10 years newer. So if you're in the mood to rip the dash out and rewire stuff, you might as well explore all options. I dunno how you feel about 4th gen stuff, so its up to you.

Crazy, basically what he's getting with the swap is to eliminate the hassle of trying to hack his wiring to work with the older harness, the harness he'll receive is complete, non cut, im talking down to the last wire, the vss sender from a trans bolts right in to convert it over, all the wiring is included in what he's getting. Some just seem to be looking right past what im saying.

If you need any wiring help with yours crazy, email me or hit me up on AIM.

I have a dash out of a 90 rs that is complete and perfect with the exception of the cigarette lighter *** i will let it go for 160 + Shipping the gauge cluster hasn't been messed with so you shouldn't have a problem there you will just have to repin the connectors supplied with the ones already attached to your gauge cluster to repin it just follow the same basic instructions as the tech article about swapping ecms. The wiring diagrams should be easy to find here. If you are interested email me at srsterr@students.wisc.edu
Swapping the whole wireing harness seems like more work than what it's worth unless you have the car all stripped down.
I'm located in central Wisconsin and shipping will be through Greyhound which has really resonable rates. Oh and i also have all the plastic that goes under the dash including the padded steering column cover.
