Shift Light

Hey all,
I have decided that I need a shift light in my car but I don't want to get one of those spot lights that you see everywhere. I would like to get a small one like quick light from Autometer. My question is, Does anyone have a shift light mounted in there car (besides on the side of the tach), and also any good ideas for where to mount it?

Thanks.

found this in a search, its from a 91-92 style dash, but you get the point, the cig lighters are still in the same spot, just modeled differently.

Good luck with it.

Wow, I like that idea. I think it would look even better with a smaller light.

Ok guys...I invented the light in the cig lighter idea back in 1989. I now have a Harlan Engineering programmable shift light... Its even concealable with the stock lighter with a little modding. Hope u like.

I took the shift light off my Autometer Monster Shift Light Tach and built an aluminum bracket to hold it behind the cig lighter hole.. The original idea wasn't mine (obviously).. Here's a pic of my dash test fit.

Cheers,

That looks great. It should look pretty good when it is done.

Iroc57, thanks for the link. I will either be mounting it in the cig lighter location or where the factory oil light is (the center hole on the gauge cluster.
