90-92 dash in an 86.

I'm doing an lt1 swap and need to switch my speedo over to vss instead of cable. The guages are different so i need to swap the whole cluster. Will it fit correctly, or are the clusters different sizes. I'll be ok if the wiring is different as long as it will fit in right.

Wont fit. If you want to leave the stock dash in, you can make yourself a cluster using aftermarket guages, but the 90-92 cluster wont bolt in. Or if you want to replace the dash you could do the 90-92 dash with 90-92 cluster, or even a 4th gen dash with 4th gen cluster. Up to you.

Looks like you guys are talking about a Camaro for the swap. On my 86 T/A I'm still in the process of swapping in my 92 dash setup.
has the nicer layout for the switches and also has that padded bolster under the column.
Pic isn't my car.
