Can't find whiteface overlays for my 89 IROC...anyone have the file?
I did a search and found nothing but dead links and the wrong files. Does anyone have the templates for an 89 IROC with the 115 speedo? Also is there a way I can swap over to a 145 overlay without changing the gears in the tranny or speedo itself? I don't think so but I figured I'd ask.
I think my new blue LED's will look much better with whiteface gauges. Also do I have to remove the needles or is there a way I can slip the face over them? Finally what can I use to affix them that I can easily remove if I ever want to uncover them and go back to the black gauges?

Look at the tech articals, there is a coulple of articals and one of them has the links. For really good inserts they relplace the orginal, and more likely than not you will have to pull you needles, just take pictures and note all aliment points. Hope someone can give you more info, I haven't done it just read about it and decided I didn't like any faces on the market.
The ones you print out you can put them on with out taking off the needles, just have to deal with either a hole or a cut in the overlay.

I guess I'll have to try searching the boards again tomorrow. Someone should post the link in the tech articles page.

I did another search and still can't find them. If anyone has a file with DIY whiteface gauges for an 89 IROC I would greatly appreciate it.

Sorry, all I have is the 145MPH gauges. If you ever swap speedos and need them, PM me.

Can you send over what you have? I might print out like just the tach or something and put it in so I can see how it looks in my car.

I've got the one's I did for a 140mph setup http://www.inter-scape.com/ray/stuff/mygauges.zip You may want to do some fine tuning to the images before printing. There was another file floating around that had my gauges plus some others, don't think it had a 115mph gauge in it but I can't remember. Not sure where that was anymore either...
If you can't find a 115mph image, do you have a flatbed scanner? If so just do what I did, pull off the face on the speedo and scan it, edit it to white with a graphics program, and print it out. That's what I did to get all my gauges above. Unless I'm remembering incorrectly I believe the speedo is the easiest one, since the actual face comes off and is nice and flat, easy to scan. If you don't have a scanner, maybe a Kinkos or something offers that service? Or perhaps you have a buddy with a scanner...
I'm sure your blue LEDs would look awesome with white face gauges. Been wanting to do the LEDs to go along with mine for awhile now.

Paul-
You're welcome to anything you want from my webpage. I'm pretty sure the volts, temp, and fuel gauges are all the same for your car, so all you'd need now is the speedo.

hey guys, just wanted to shed some light on the LED thing. There are a couple styles around
One is the concave type with the indented top portion, and the others look like a standard 194. The first type suck, due to the way they project light. I tried it and was very disappointed. And rather than spend another 25 bucks on all the leds required back there, i picked up some indiglo overlays and have never been happier. I also handpainted the needles orange to match my autometer gauges and they look awesome.... Please stop by and check time out, pics are in the sig, page 4 I believe, the one titled interior
