How to remove seatbelts

How to remove seatbelts

Anybody know how to remove the front seatbelts, i opened the plastic cover and saw a big torx bolt, if i pull that out how to i remove the belt from the celing + all the hardware on the floor ?

Remove that torx bolt and it comes up from the floor. I don't recall exactly what type of fastener the top uses, but it's not any more complicated than the bottom once the headliner is down.

top would be 2 14mm bolts. btw that torx bolt is a pain in the butt, my torx keys dont go that big so i had to go buy a torx bit, of course all i could find was a impact torx bit. which cost $12, so i carefully used it while in the package, then returned it..lol. ill never need it again and i need my $12

My cheap craftsman set had the right size. I think it's a T50 or T55.

T50 for the seatbelts. I just installed black ones in my Formula the other day.

You need to drop down the headliner in the back to remove the upper retractor.

Definitly need a torx bit.

But damn, 4 were one size, and 2 were another size.

It made no sense.

But...

I completely stripped one.

Where can I buy a replacment bolt for my seatbelt?

lol, i had to go out and buy some torx bits too. I needed two of them and they cost $5 each I think I might go return them at Orchard when im done with them and say they didnt fit
