Looking for cheapest aftermarket fender

I just got my car painted 11 days ago. Took it out for a ride and got into an accident. Completely the other guys fault. I need a new fender and figure hey I painted the car why not get another fender paint and replace it and make some cash. I dont care if its a repro... Where can I find the cheapest fender for an 88 GTA (driver's side)?

Yeah, I'd go for a used "original" fender instead of a cheap aftermarket fender. You might do better at the local junkyards, too.

Reproduction fenders don't actually fit to well as I understand it. You'll definatley be happier with a new fender in the long run. Just find a good used one.

You just got a paint job on your car. Don't ruin it with a lousy fitting POS aftermarket fender. It's his bill... bring it to a shop, get it fixed right, and let him pay for it.

82-90 front fender.....$65.80
91-92 front fender.....$69.80

that's about as good as it gets, but they're aftermarket.

Price, yes. Quality, no.

I'd suggest a used one from Hawk's.

Just be specific with Bruce about what you want.

Mine has little scratches and a few "bumps" but that is only because I specifically told him I didnt care.

Only problem is, I ordered 2 for 75 each, and then shipping came out to about 70 per fender.

So you might want to go to a local junkyard, and if they are more expensive, just be like "Well I will just buy them at Hawk's cause they are cheaper" and I bet you can haggle.

In the end, they may be used, but they are still GM

I picked up a passenger fender from a 91 'bird for $15 + $3 core charge.
A few dings but nothing major that you can really notice.
Had to drill new holes for the GFX because I pulled it off a base bird w/o GFX.
I just threw out my old fender because it wasn't worth the gas to drive to the yard and drop it off.

LOL. Silly stuff like that makes me upset. I can see a core on somthing reasonable like a piece that can be scrapped for more then a buck but a fender geeze. Bet yea can get a whole penny for a fender at the scrap yard.

I don't know why there's a core charge. Might have something to do w/ the 30-day money back guarantee. Pretty cool, I bought an A/C compressor and found out it wouldn't fit so we just returned it for credit. Used that money for the fender and a 91 Firebird spoiler.
