Interior is a mess.... please help me clean this stuff off......

well my car was just painted this past weekend. and much to my dismay, the interior is coated with this dustlike crap that will not come off with conventional means. Have you guys ever run into this. I used to see this quite a bit when I delivered parts to different body shops, but i never saw how they get it off. my seats are probably the worst off. they are leather at that, so i really want to get them cleaned off soon. the carpet is the same, as well as the dash and pretty much everything. WHAT DO I DO??? I am at my wits end here, about to lose my mind over this crap. please help me

What? Did they paint your car with the windows down? That's ludicrous.

I agree with th others......

As a body shop manager, I would want my customer to bring something like that back to me, so I could take care of my customer & get right in the middle of my paint shops A _ _. I would kill my guys for doing something stupid like that. At least give your body shop the oportunity to take care of the problem. Good Luck....

thankfully, most body shop managers have the same attitude as the guy above.... they should take care of it.

I had some of that on the front of my air cleaner after my car got painted, I put some paint thinner on a cloth and scrubbed at it until it was gone.

Simple fix, grab the painter by his hair and use his teeth to remove it.

Well, the prob is it was not a bodyshop, it was a private job. anyway, it was not as bad, and he agreed to take care of it. but i did get most of it off with a good leather cleaner. more a nuisance than anything, i will not be paying the remaining balance, this was bll****.... but thanks for all the help guys

on your carpet you should scrub it with soap water and then suck it up with a wet vac

I'd use Simple Green on the carpet. The stuff is amazing! I don't know about using it on leather though.
