Someone told me they stopped installing them in 87, and a 91 wouldn't have the holes above the headliner to mount it. Is that true, or should it go in? Thanks.
If the holes aren't there, use sheet metal screws to mount it . Unless someone knows why that wouldn't work, I think it should, at least in theory it should.
Yeah I guess I should just take the headliner down and have a look. I just don't want to end up with screws through my roof or somthing
Thanks.

Thanks.

I'm pretty sure that every thirdgen already has the holes there. I believe it was made that way so one could be added. I have yet to hear about someone having to drill the holes for the posts. I know when I did mine the holes were there but who knows.

I sincerely doubt that GM would retool to eliminate the holes--which, by the way, were in my 85 when I bolted in an overhead.

my 90 RS t-top had them, and they worked like a charm
easy install, just cut a couple of holes in the headliner.

ya, the holes should be there.. Just as an example. The Dual Snorkel intake was stopped in 1986, but my 89 still has the holes in the metal for it.. Thus making installation very easy.
