Map Pouch Removal

What's the easiest and/or proper way to remove that map pouch?

It has 4 plastic clips on the back similar to those that hold the door panels on. I'd get as close to the clip as possible with a scraper or screwdriver and slowly pry it up. It may be easier if you can pry it up from both sides of the clip at the same time. I can't think of any other way to go about it.

The clips are actually a little different from those of the door panels. These clips are designed to stay in permanently. If you have power windows or locks those clips that hold the wire to the door are the same concept. Basicly if you can get in behind them and squeeze them with pliers would be the proper way. If you don't want to pull you dash out to do that. Be careful when pulling those clips out with screw drivers or whatever you use (A window Crank Handle remover from autozone is best bet) the more sureface you can push against the lest chance of cracking your dash.

Why do you want it out. I think it looks nice. Gives it a different type of feel.

MY car didn't have one when I bought it. I found a good one at a junkyard for 2 dollars. I bought it and just snapped it inplace.

BTW in my car there was some sort of plate behind the dash area that rattled like hell until I put a new puch on it.
