Will the ASCD SS hoo fit a TBI engine??
I own a 91 Camaro with TBI will the ASCD SS hood fit on my car with this engine?? There add says "Available for the T.P.I. engine and carburetor engines. Please state when calling to order."
But nothing about TBI. Are there different types of SS hoods depending on which engine you have?? I thought they were all the same.

the ss hood gives about 2" additional clearance over the stock hood. since the tbi fits under the stock hood, then it definately will fit under the ss hood

yes I have one on my tbi. not sure why they give you the tbi/carb or tpi option because they only make one hood. order it and enjoy

Got an e-mail from ASCD and they say they have them listed that way because they had planned on making two different versions. The top would be the same for both but the underside would be different depending on which type of motor you had for directing air flow. They have not designed the ram air boxes to fit the motors yet so the hoods are the same for now
correct
For now, the outlet holes for the air are under the hood in the corners on both sides where the battery and evap. canister are located. That is unless they changed design since i owned mine.
What i did on my Old bird, was cut out the area behind the vents and its put air towards the air filter, only problem was that it made the engine constantly dusty.
