A guy up here in Canada wants to charge me $900.00 for a full dash including gauges and wiring) out of a 98 Camaro cop car. the airbag was blown but that shouldnt matter eh? Should I keep looking for a better price or is this good? That would be about $750 US

regards
Dennis

That's horribly over priced. That guys smoking something. You can get them for $400 off ebay, and that's still horribly overpriced. I paid $200 for my entire dash.

I payed about $450 for everything shipped back when I bought mine. Could have gotten it alot cheaper but at the time I was in a hurry to buy. So you should probaly be looking at spending between $2-500 tops.

As for a blown bag, it usually cracks the dash frame when it blows. Sometimes not to bad though.

Also, with the 98+ dash, the gauges use serial data from the PCM so it may be harder to get to work right, unless you are doing an LS1 swap as well.
They also use a 4cyl tach signal so the RPMs will show double.

You can fit 93-96 Firebird gauges into a 97+ Camaro dash and vice versa.

I've got 3 clusters to play around with for my car, a 93 Firebird, 95 Firebird, and a 97 Camaro. I prefer the Camaro one since it is fancier looking.

Oh, and I paid $350 for my complete dash

The camaro dash comes in 2 styles, 93-96 and 97-02.
The firebird dash is the same from 93-02.

This is my 95 Firebird Dash with a 97 Camaro gauge cluster,

I paid $238 for my 4thGen dash with cluster, center console and all 4 leather seats out of a bird.

Drivers side seat has 2 small rips not even 1/2inch each. Local shop wants $75 to fit it

1 door was already missing or I would have got the door panels at that price also. I did take the piller trim so I can work with the gaps with doing the swap.

I did get the dash pad part also. Non pope airbag so no seam to worry about.
