Removing headlight ****

I had the night off from work tonight, so I decided it would be a good time to swap out the burnt out gauges lights I have. Well I was able to get most of the das apart, but I couldn't get the trim panel around the bezel off because the headlight ****. How do you removed this?

Dunno if 91-92 cars are different... but on mine there is a clip on the back that you gotta push with a straight slot scewdriver. Kinda similar to a cable speedo clip in a way. Same idea to get it off. Hope that helps a bit

Mine had a little obnoxious button like the old school headlight dimmers. If you can with a flashlight look for a small button, if you see one underneath the dimmer switch depress with the **** all the way out, then extract it... what a pain.

I don't see how its a pain. It takes all of 2 seconts to find it, and I happend to have a 12in extension handy which worked perfectly
The only problem I had was once its out, the headlights are on.

Couldn't you just pull the fuse? I just put the **** back in once the trim piece was off.

Thanks guys, I will attemp this again when I am off Monday. Also, I was reading that you need some sort of connector for the 194 bulbs because the factory ones are soldered on. I asked one of the guys working at Autozone if they carried them, and he didn't seem to have a clue what I was talking about. What is the name of the connector, or part number?

you can just pull a fuse but i find it safer to disconnect the battery when workin inside the dash because of a chance fryin something or pullin the wrong fuse ......
