Plastic ground FX repair

Anyone know of a way to do this, as replacing the GFX on the bird is going to be an issue, since there are no new available. I have been looking but have not found these things anywhere, Any ideas??

Are you sure that they're not available new anymore? I recently bought a lower ground effect piece from my dealer for my '89 Camaro. I'd check your local dealers and bone yards (in that order) before trying to repair the piece unless you know what you're doing. Just my $.02

I bought new from dealer for my 86 TA when I got it fixed. Pretty expensive from dealer though.

Hard to find in junkyards, because they are usually all cracked anyways, but I've seen some, mostly backs and fronts, not any under doors.

Don't know anything about repair though...

3m

3M makes some stuff just for ground effects, and dont even think about paying a shop to do it they wanted 100$ just to fix my front fender gfx on my 87. Theres a online store in Flordia I dont know the excat name but i think it's like tacreations.com and they have all ground effects pieces you may want to just buy a new one.

PM me if you want to know more about that 3M stuff.

which peices exactly need repair?

the side peices are fiberglass on my camaro. so basic body skills tools and materials apply. the front and rear are some kind of urathane plastic and there are kits for repairing them.

unfortunatly, the gfx on this car are all urethane, plastic......crappy, fibre glass is easy to work with this stuff is a little more challenging!

You need an epoxy(two-part repair material) 3M Automix system
I have outlined a repair process here:https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=248199
