no ideas about that man.....if you get certian ones (like mine from procarparts.com) they light up on their own. IMHO get gauges that light up only the numbers, some have the "doughnuts" that glow as well and those dont look as good. heres mine

the gauges werent hard to install really. just time consuming if youve never done it. i had taken my gauge cluster out before many times so i got that part down. wiring them up was a sinch and the only trouble part i ran into was getting the gauges to sit flat and not interfere with my needles moving...super glue
as far as my needles...i painted them red with testors red paint and they glow red. the shorter needles glow absolutly perfect but the speedo and tach dim quite a bit towards the tip due to the paint covering up where the light shines weakest (at the tip). but a lighter coat of paint or ive heard of just painting the fronts of the needles and not thoe whole thing would work just fine.

NP......I'm looking to replace my gauges with aftermarkets and yours look nice! :hail:
In '83, stock gauges just suck IMO. The only one I can trust is....no wait - they all suck.

hmmmmmmmmmmm........im not exactly sure. they look they same but the tick marks and numbers are aligned differently. i think 1990 and some early 1991's are the same and the rest of 1991 and 1992 are slightly different. mines a 1991 and i dont know which exact cluster i have but these lined up good enough. almost exactly, besides the gauges arent really all that accurate anyway, i just use them as a guideline
