Insects all up IN MY CAR!!!!

My camaro sat for a while while we were doing the motor swap, and now I've got all types of insects in and on my car. Mostly ants, but I do have a nice zoo going on.

How do I get these little f'er's out of my car?? I've tried the search and destroy method, but much like Charlie, they keep popping up.

drop about 15 ant traps into the car and leave it for a few days, either that or strip the interior and go from there

Well, I just went outside and put up a perimeter around my car of some nice ant killing powder. I also put some sprinkles on top of the car as well.

So now I've got the little f-ers surrounded, but we'll see.

Are yall actually serious about stripping out my interior?? That seems a little extreme don't it? Didn't there used to be a thing called a "insect bomb" or something like that??

oh whats that stuff gonna due to your paint? they make a home bomb for killing pests i doubt i would set that off in my car. how about some moth *****? i would go the ant trap way myself and spray the under carage area. i would not spray the interior. i would give it a good vaccuming though.

park the car in the garage and leave it running for 30 - 60 minutes with your garage door closed. My uncle accidentaly forgot his car was running one time and every bug in the garage was dead when he came back.

oh and dont be in the garage if you do it

i put up one of those canopys and put up tarps around my car then set up 2 bug bombs under the tarp. 1 is rated for 5,000 sq ft, and i had 2 in much less space than that. They fell to the ground like dust. Oh and dont open the tent for atleast 12 hours or you will die of fumes.

Man I would have never thougt of that, it has to be better that the bombs which have to leave some kind of residue on the windows and the interior. Props to that idea

I just took a good shop vac and vacuumed every little nook and cranny in my car. It took two sweeps but I haven't had a problem since. The last time I had an infestation of insects was down in Homestead Florida after hurricane Andrew. It seems every d*mned mosquito for 30 miles around took up residence in my camaro.

Ambush them.
Leave a trail of sugar leading out of the car to a kill zone, then open up with your choice of weaponry or biological agent.

well, maybe it's just me, but if you do the garage trick then you're going to have a bunch of dead ants and other insects inside of your car... you know, rotting corpses? Sounds like something I want in my car You can put a open bottle of syrup inside the car, while it sits in the garage (with the engine off hahah) those ants will smell that from a mile away and just pile in to get it, only to find that they get stuck

There's a couple other tricks that I use when I go camping, but I cant think of a detailed explanation for them lol.

Must be a GA thing...I've had the same problem with ants getting in my TA this year (and in my dog's bowl, into the pantry...everywhere!). I'm keeping the pesticide people in business. I did have some in my garage, but a little carb cleaner and a lighter took care of that problem.

I actually had the same problem, with Box Elder Beetles. It was a real bummer, but eventually they were gone.

Just drive real fast on the highway and they will get blown off!
