lol without pics this is a completly useless thread, and they stopped making irocs halfway through 1990, you are refering to 91-92 16" camaro rims

 

i don't now what they are but i got them off of a 92 RS so until i get pics and you tell me what they are there gonna be Iroc rims

the stripes, are they heritage (probably spelt wrong) or do they go all the way down to the gfx?

Actually, no IROC-Zs were built in 1990. The 1990 model run ended in late December 1989.

its fun but it tops out at 130mph. I don't think that my trans shift up for some reason. I can feal it go from 1/2/3 but not to OD

 

unless ur speedo doesn't work , or you're computer isn't telling the car to shut down, it really shouldn't do 130...but, that's open for debate, as some v6ers say there's a governer at 115, andothers will say they've done 128 etc....kinda gray area.

PS-
Your trans won't shift up into OD at Wide Open Throttle, unless you've got a vette, or have done the shiftkit modifications to allow it, the car will stay in 3rd gear as long as it's floored, and in many cases, after it's not...as long as the car thinks it needs a lot of line pressure to hold that speed, itll remain in 3rd gear.

Car looks nice, would like to have seen the stripes extend a tad more forward, almost like the factory 92' style stripes on the heritage camaros, but it looks good. Not a big fan of the stripe on the side, but to each his own. - it kinda says CAMARO to me...and i'm like "yeh, i know it a camaro, and not a mustang."

the side stripes are just a decal that the guy who painted my car made for it. if I get tired of them i can just pull them off. and the speed was just an estimation cause i have the 85mph speedo and it wraps aroud to the start of the other side of the speedo

I didn't put on any GFX cause i have scraped the front end on the roads in the town i live in. so any GFX would have been gone a long time ago and its not that fast. what are the three slots in the front bumper cover there for? Looks, cooling, something else?

 

KEVIN is your z a 91 model made in 90.If so how can you tell??.Im new to this,just bought my91z

 

I think it all depends, my 87 would make 125 easily, and that was with 145k on the clock.

 

92. rs wheels are not iroc wheels, but the look good also...91-92. have two cuts in them iroc have only one, and they are 16"....
