Should I keep the side body mouldings or shave them off???
Just curious to see if shaving the side body moulding would help to give a cleaner look to the car. The pieces that I am talking about are those rubberish strips that run across the middle of each door, and about 3 1/2 inches onto both the front fender and rear 1/4 panel. I don't really see them as being necessary. Does anyone have some pics of thier car with these pieces taken off? Mine are falling off and I am trying to decide whether or not to replace them. Thanks, Paul Moore

Depends. If you drive it everyday I'd keep them on to help prevent door dings. If this is just your fun, nice day car then I think the cars look much better with them off. Matter of fact I hate the look of body moldings on almost every car.

Mine came with the aftermarket kind that screwed in the door.
I love the look of these cars without the moldings.

I'm sold on the no side mouldings!!!!! After seeing 86IROCKET-Z's car, I can really tell that it would just be an eyesore. The whole car looks much smoother and plain and let's face it plain is simple! Thanks for the pics guys, you always come through for members on this board

Just wait until you have a bunch of door dings like I got after my paintjob. Finally, I bought mouldings, painted them, and had them installed. I guess you could say I finally saw the light.
