If you're talking about the inside rearview mirror: They are glued onto the windshield from the factory. There is a little metal piece that glues to the windshield and the mirror is secured to that bracket with a set screw.
You need to buy the correct adhesive to re-attach the bracket to the windshield. Any auto parts store will have it- I believe it's called "rearview mirror adhesive" or something similar.
Just glue the bracket back on and use duct tape to hold it up for a day or so to let the glue dry. Then re-attach the mirror and you're all set.

i took one of those two part epoxy things in the two tubes stuck together...you know the one i am talking about? anyway, then i took a little bit of 200grit sandpaper and kinda scratched up the glass where i put the mirror, then i let it set up for a few minutes (about 10) and then stuck the metal piece on. it was cold so, unfortunatly, i had to hold it there till it wasn't drooping down the windshield. once it was staying by itself, i left it alone for a day, then put the mirror on. worked great. first time in a few years this car has had a rear view mirror on it (g/f talked me into putting it back in)

make sure you scrape ALL of the old glue off with a razor blade before trying to restick it
