any auto supply store should have it, they carry dupont and ppg most of the time, gm is dupont from the factory...but any company can maek the color as long as it matches.

gm is dupont from the factory....
Not necessarilly, GM does as any other company, and takes bids for their supply. One year , it may be Dupont, The next, PPG and so on,
Note too, that "true factory" paint would never harden in the aftermarket environment, The factory cooks their paint at @300 degrees to flow and cure.

Buy your paint from an autobody paint supply company. Most of the time they will help you in getting the proper prep/primers you need, and will have it in stock. PPG, Dupont, and Sher-Williams are all good paints, but I would stay away from the BASF brand paint/primers (BASF is just real cheapy to me). Another word of advise, dont cheap out when it comes to the primer/sealer; you get what you pay for!

the paint at auto zone ect is not the right stuff to put on the body you can use it on miss parts but if you are going to prep the car for a PPG dupon or SherWill paint the cheapest way out on the primer end is rustolem/rusttuff primer from auto zone it is about $5 a can if you use the cheap $1 can stuff it will react and make an oragen peal effect
