Yes and no. I just want a stock hood to cruis around town in. I think the big hood on my car doesnt really look to good with my tire and wheel combo. I do not have the chrome SS wheels andymore. I am running an old set of American Racing Le Mans wheels. I painted the centers black and polished the lip. THey are a thin five star design and they just dont clash well with a huge hood. Now I realy would like ot keep my hood so that I can get that drag look with a some draglites one day but who knows, my mind changes like the weather

Your gonna have to drill holes in the hood to get them on there. Im not sure why the Z28 hood for the 91-92 z28's has 2 indents in it for the blisters but if they are there to allow the blisters to sit flush on the hood then you are gonna have a problem with yours sitting flush. I dont know what the underside of the blisters look like so I can't prove this. If they are flat then its just a matter of placing the blisters down where you want them and marking the holes to be drilled. An easy way to get this done is to get the blisters positioned where you want them. Then make 2 small marks on the hood in opposite corners for each blister. Then remove the blister and put a dab of paint on each srew stud coming out of the blisters. Match the marks up with the reference spot on the blisters and place the blisters down. You should now have a few spots of paint on the hood to show you where to drill.
If the blisters require specials nuts then try the dealer.

You cannot make the blisters fit on a flat (plain) hood without some serious mods. The paint trick is a good idea for hole placement but the bottoms of the blisters are not flat and I dont really see how you could make them fit. Not really worth all the work when there is a simple and easy answer. Buy the right hood and bolt them on the way they are supposed to be bolted on. And those retainers are still sold. I just bought a new set for my extra blisters.

I doubt it. Now that we all know that they wont fit a stock RS hood and need the IROC or later z28 hood for the indents in the hood then there is no way that they will fit the smaller style z28 hoods.

I saw a fiberglass IROC hood once....can't remember where tho. I think it was a race piece, like for drag racing or autocross. I can't remember. Check with the different fiberglass companies and see if they have them. If not, I may have an extra IROC hood layin around somewhere.......

the iroc hoods have the indentation so that the louvers (85-90) would sit fluch when mounted in the hood. the blisters sit a lil higher. just noticed this as i was installing my blisters in place of my louvers.
