you know i never thought of deleting those ugly black boxes when i deleted my rear seatbelts. im going to have to fab something to cover the holes up now, i like the idea. but my next endeavor is to delete my rear seats and make something that looks good like there wasnt supposed to be any rear seats plus something to hold my n20 bottle, dvd player and possibly my amps

camaroRus i got something for you that would look nice and clean for something like that, its custom and you can go crazy with it, i'm gunna grind out the back seat mounts though so it will mount flat flush heres just an idea pic, but i'm gunna have subs on top and an amp mounted inside the box with plexi glass

im going to mount my dvd player where you have the amp mounted and then on the passengerside ill have the n20 bottle and on the drivers side im going to have the amp for my speakers. the smp for the subs will have to be in the back cargo area close to the subs

really? if you come across one would you link it for me? where would i even begin to look on ebay...keyword?

as far as the hole its actually a trade secret what material i used as the filler (ive used it a bunch before for misc things) but i pretty much just cut out what material needed to be cut out behind the plastics to make a flat surface (if you look youll see) and duct taped the stuff in there!! then painted it to match the rest even (though it was already black)...........

okay my trade secret is a brand of plastic pocket folder (for school ) that has the inside black and a good texture as well as being strong but very flexible.

no problem, theyre cheap and perfect foir stuff lie this interior work. i used them to cover the holes in the very rear piece of plastic that has the two ttop holder "hooks" (i removed those bacause i never store my ttops back there) and the thing i showed you and also when i installed my 4th gen console and firebird radio pod i had to cover the top of the radio pod with the plastic.

i just duct taped it in back. you cant see it so it doesnt matter what it looks like. i was going to superglue but it doesnt stick really well but once you clean both pieces duct tape works.

im a huge believer in "if you cant duct it, f*** it!"

man i cant even remeber when or where i found it i remeber it was about 2 or 3 months ago but when you search do it like this; (camaro, z28, transam, trans-am, trans am, gta, tranam, firebird, fire bird) ; use the commas and perentheseis and everything it broadens your search i think it was somewhere under either misc or other or seats...happy hunting

to shed light onthis subject there is a special vinyl used for interiors that stretchs and contours the what ever peice you are applying it to this stuff is really expensive personally i would just keep the pannels stock or paint them with a texture paint by 3m or sems and call it a day

I like it, and it can be done, if done right. It would probably be a good alternative to new panels, if your are trashed. My only concern would be how well it would stick to the plastics, and for how long. I guess if you scuffed them up a little (maybe 80 grit or so) you could get some good adhesion.
