why do my seat rub against my console?
Why do my seats rub against my console? I am 99% sure they are the stock seats. Anyone else have this problem? Please help

me too .nothin bad,they just touch the consol.I think thats normal but if its cauasing creases in your seats ,then I dont have that problem

It is sort of annoying b/c the driver seat is power and everytime that it is moved it rubs againts the center console and is making marks in it.

the funny thing is ,gm could of put both seats like maybe an inch closer to the doors and then it would miss the center consol and still not interfere with the doors or armrest.I think

ok so its not just me, I took my console out last week trying to figure this out, I wonder if they came like this stock or if they slowly shifted out of place over the years. I have to take my seats out soon anyway to recover them I wonder if I can move them over a little bit.
here is a close up of how my 4thgens fit with the factory console. they still rubbed but you can see there is a bit of relief gap. now if yours is physically touching similar to the picture i'm going to post below then something isn't factory.
the arrows point to the bolsters which are pressed very hard against the console. these seats can not move freely unlike the factory seats above, while the 4thgen seats rub you can move them. my stock 91 seats were the same way.
