Well if you view my other post
https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=301368
I am still trying to figure out how to get them in print ( whether that be paper or plastic) I need to find something that will allow the light to shine thru and still have the picture quality...As soon as I figure it out or someone can help me with the printing I can start cranking these out faster than you can say I want some...

I have a few Ideas but it will take a couple days to be able to test my theories....

Any ideas or sugestions will be greatly appreciated....

Okay, this is petty, but...that picture is of the Balrog in the Mines of Moria from the book "Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring." The Wizard is Gandalf. The painting is done by one of the Hildebrandt brothers, IIRC.

Im sure he ment that he can place whatever image he wants on the guages. Not that he is the artist for the Lord of the rings. Good eye by the way.

Thanks. My point was more that it wasn't a dragon.

I think IROC-Z or Z28 would look great in a nice font, or even graphics like a flame design for the letters.

I also think that instead of white face gauges, red would look AWESOME with a red, or black car!

The light only has to shine through on the "gauge" labelling, so how about using some overhead projector transparencies? On a normal printer there isn't any white ink so the lettering would be clear. You could then put some kind of white tape on the back in the gauge area, or very thin white plastic.

Mark.

Well here is the problem with transparencies everything is transparent even with the ink...As soon as you turned on the lights you would not be able to see crap....

But anyways here are a couple others I did at the request of some of Southwest Board members...Just follow link below...

print them on tranparentcies.

Remember back in school when the teacher had a projector and she wrote on a clear plastic thing and it showed on the wall.

Well you can print on them with lazer and inkjet printers.

Very easy. And a pack cost like $4.

Good Luck

edit: saw it was already posted and i revised the design. The stock guages lie on a clear pastic panel and the light only comes through on the areas design to have light come through. SO, paint the back of the transparency white, like a brush on or spray on paint, and then print on the other side. That would work...
