I think classic has/had them in their catalog?($$$$$).Or you can take your old on out, carefully cut the stitches, take the leather halves, trace them on new leather sections, cut. Then stitch them together.Thats how i did one for my 84.

Instead why dont you first try and cleaning them a little bit. I had a bunch of people tell me to use saddle soap and ended up using HD saddle bag cleaner which left my leather very soft and a lot less wrinkly.

I agree on trying to dress it up a bit. It does depend on how far gone they are though. Mine had some worn areas on it - I used some black leather dye on it first to restore the black color and make it more uniform, then used a ton of leather conditioner on it to try and soften it up a bit. It's not perfect, and certainly not like new, but better than what I started with.

First I've heard of this one... looks AWESOME! Thanks Shifty.

Bought anything from them yet? They seem to show just about everything stock as still available. Hope so.

I searched just about everywhere for a new leather shifter boot for my 5-speed last year, and they just weren't to be found.

The only thirdgen 5-speed leather boot I found was from Hawks, but it was a very generic one-size-and-color-fits-all-Camaros-and-Firebirds sort of thing, which isn't accurate. And of course, it turned-out to be nothing at all like my factory boot.

Then I found some very nice 4thgen boots online at www.afterthoughtsauto.com I got one hoping it would fit, but it didn't. Though it might fit a thirdgen automatic, it was too small to wrap over the thirdgen 5-speed trim ring.

I finally took my boot to a local upholstery shop, and he had a charcoal grey leather onhand. The leather isn't exactly like stock... the color is pretty good, but the leather is grainy, not smooth. But regardless, it looks better than the aging boot I had.

So, just have one made... about $35. And if your local shop doesn't have, or can't get, a matching leather, look-up Afterthoughts Auto. They were very helpful, and their leather is very nice--and their manufacturer was willing to sell just the leather.
