Usually nobody with a thirdgen will put an aluminum wing on the car, but I have seen one or two on Camaros (none on Firebirds so far). Try doing a search and you may come up with something.

And I'll just say it now: keep the flaming to yourselves. At least our cars can USE aluminum wings.

At least we have RWD cars... Anybody ever see them, or spoilers, on cars that only come in front wheel drive? That's just sad...

For all we know he could be talking about an aluminum drag wing similar to something Guido fabricated. This forums needs more tech and less bashing.

I'll try to find the clip... A guy in town here has the most ridiculous wing on his FWD GrandAm... or GrandPrix.. I'm not sure, he wrote it off.... Anyway, the PetroCan surveillance video got a nice shot of his car and his brake lights whipping down the steet and into a telephone pole. The pole broke and and so did the car... The ammusing part is how it didn't even begin to make the corner. And the funny part is how he got out of the car, into his buddies car and left the scene just as the RCMP pulled up... Most excellent 'caught_on_tape' kind of footage. Maybe all that downforce on the trunk stole some grip from the wheels that drive/steer the car.

Ok, here are links, thanks to yngwie for the video (how a Swedish guitar legend got a hold of the video is beyond me, though):

This is the best link, but also the largest -- quicktime larger version, slow-motion (16 MB)

also...

original video (mpeg4 I think, 7 MB)

quicktime version (13 MB)

mpeg1 version (17 MB)

if you want to see it in slow-motion, use one of the following:

quicktime version, slow motion (5 MB)

smaller version, slow motion (quicktime 3 MB)

Enlarged version, slow-motion (quicktime 16 MB)

Also, I iMovie + dual G5.
Enjoy
-edit... ah crap the links are dead. Sorry
