How much is too much for 4th gen leather?
I'm looking at doing a 4th gen T/A leather seat swap into my camaro, but after searching Ebay I feel I could do better than $700. I was just wondering what you guys feel is the upper limit of what you would pay for late model black leather T/A seats?

Ebony seats will go for 1000-1200 bucks if they are perfect, if the side bolster has some wrinkles and a little wear, they may drop to 700-800 or so

I bought mint thirdgen gray seats - front and back for $350.00 including leather matching door panels. I feel it was well worth it.

i have a set of 99 camaro charcoal grey... full set.. driver power, no rips or tears.. for sale.. 500$ if you want em.. located in UT
it really depends on the options and color as well as availability in your area. i sold my set that was in good condition for $350. i bought it really good shape for $500 and used them for over 2 years. if you asking for a complete set i would think $700 is a decent range for absolutely perfect seats however that's about as high as i would figure. now if you were talking a rare color like white or otherwise then more so. very rarely will you ever see a mint set that isn't new.
Theres a place about an hour away that parts out F bodies only. They have a warehouse FULL of leather and cloth seats from firebirds and camaros in all colors.A few years ago i got a perfect set for my IROC for $250,i pull them.I plan on going back soon to see if the prices are still cheap.

I paid 850 shipped for perfect condition 01 ebony TA seats, both fronts full power, and the rear seats.....a little high, but when you compare them to racing seats like sparco or recaro, its not so bad

If you don't mind buying from people on a forum, I'd check out some 4th gen forums. My drivers side bolser has some damage, aside from that, they're immaculate, and I got them for $150!! They're not the ebony ones, they're graphite, but I have seen some ebony seat sets in nice condition going for $500 on forums. A lot of people don't know to look on forums for parts, so everyone flocks to ebay, so the price tends to go up.

My first pair of 96 SS leather seats cost me $650 shipped These were mint condition 8K mile seats with the softer leather and more expensive look.
My second set cost me $450 from a 97 Camaro, got these locally.

The seats that Nikki has is what is called the LT1 seats, from a 93-97 Trans Am, the 98-2002 don't have the huge headrests and are a lighter shade of gray.

Wierd I just noticed this thread. Found some 2002 z28 EBONY leather seats on ebay. Got them for 600. They have virtually no wear or tear, just a little worn on one small spot. Came with the one piece rears too. I can't wait! Ohh and they are 6 way power!
are all 4th gen seats power? If not, how easily do non power seats go into 3rd gens? Are they a direct fit? Is it possibe to go from a red interior to tan (im willing to get the headliner done, just dont know about all the plastic in the back....)

Not all 4th gen seats are power, some of the LT1 seats are manual tracks with power lumbar, the V6 car seats are all manual with no lumbar support (speaking Firebird/Trans Am seats) and I believe that all 98-2002 seats are power.

Well guys, I just bought some today from someone locally. They're out of a 93 Firehawk with 45K miles on them. He says the code is graphite, but they look about as close to black as grey/charcoal can get w/o being black. They're mint as hell and are manual with power lumber. No blemishes or holes or fading to speak of. The car has been garaged since new so that helps even more.
I paid $575 for them and I think they're going to look awesome.
Thanks guys for giving me an idea on what was a decent price. I got to see them in person (although they were posted on Ebay) prior to the purchase since he was local. The guy is awesome and his Firehawk is cherry as hell (plus of LPE stuff
).

Now I have to go buy some carpet.
