I Made a Shift ****...Look

I made a shift **** this month and thought I would get some opinions from you guys. My interior is black/charcoal with a silver/black steering wheel which just came in and I have a silver headunit. On a scale from 1-10 what do you guys think? It still needs to be polished I may get some different rings for it but you guys can get the idea. Heres my car http://www.cardomain.com/ride/756169 and a picture of the **** below.

It ways a little over a pound, same weight in grams as TWM's .44 ****. Is around 2 1/2 tall and feels right. I tapped it to m16x1.5 and its stepped a little wider than that before the threads.

Edit: meant to add another photo but forgot and now it wont allow me to.

Ya all you need is a piece of metal, I started with a old trailer ball because I could still the threads of it in the lathe and then tap it which was the hardest part because we didnt have a tap that large.

is that flange on the bottom for the boot to slip over? if the boot is going to be below the **** (like stock) i would also recomend cutting it down.

getting there but it looks like a trailer ball still.

i would cut the base down and taper it more at the the bottom side that would remove the trailer ball look. nice job.

Ya I know and it will eventually rust but wont be a problem really since its easy to clean back up.

By the way it was from a trailer hitch but it was perfect because when using a lathe you need something to stick into the jaws that had to be very straight and true otherwise it will wobble and even the slightest wobble will cause the lines to get very crooked especially in areas such as the slots for the o-rings. So I stuck it in, flatten the sides of the ball, straightened the taper underneith it, and straighten the rounded cap at the bottom which I may end up cutting off. Hardest part was getting the writing and numbers off the top of the ball sinces its a dead on angle. Then went and pulled some very small o-rings into the grooves, cut the threads off the hitch, drilled it, drilled a larger neck at the bottom, and then tapped it. All in all it was suprisingly easy and was able to finish it after school after a couple days but I got lazy.

Just to let you guys know I finally got my license today. Bought the car almost two years ago and basically finished it 4 months ago. Now I get to show it and the shift **** off considering the only bad thing I have heard about the third gen is the interior. Just got the stereo in which was almost free 75% off, steering wheel which I still have to pay within 2 weeks, and the shift ****.
