There are no 145mph 'bird gauges I've ever seen.
I have these overlays.. aside from them not making an 8k tachometer overlay... they are very nice..
Yes, they are bad pictures...

The gauge overlays (the set I own) are accurate.. I had to correct my speedo by driving through a speed survey zone a few times.

Here is a scan of a 140 Mph Speedo:
If your speedo is off you may not have the needle in the correct position (as obvious as that sounds). If you notice on the original one I scanned there are threee little notches close to the Zero point, you may have to re-align it to the correct one. I do not think the aftermarket ones have the notches...
I know for the tach its easy, you just zero it on 0 and asway you go, but I think because of the discrepencies of the speedo they had to put some sort of reference so that they could adjust it if need be.
What I would do is put in your gages, and leaver the clear panel and the trim panel off, put the cluster in the car and drive at exactly 60 mph, get on the highway and time it between mile markers. 1 min = 60 mph, and adjust it accrodingly.

woooooow I think you really lost me...
But then again after much though I think I finally understand your GPS comment...
I was thinking you were talking about a GPS controlled Speedometer unit... Which on the surface would seem to work perfectly fine until you no longer got a GPS signal (like in a tunnel, or under a bridge)... Its kind of like a "batteryless solar flashlight."
Sorry My only brothers brother is an idiot

FIND a 86-92 Fromula, Trans Am or GTA with the 140 Speedo.
Basically you can swap everything over, your original Odometer will work..
I could probably do it from start to finish in about an hour.
On a scale of 1-10
-Difficulty its a 2
-Time its a 2
- Number of screws to remove from dash - about 20
Tools you need:
#2 screwdriver - some models some years
7mm nut driver - definately
5.5mm nut driver - some years used these to mount the IP assy to dash.
10mm nut driver - probably do not need, but get it any way.
REmove dash pad
remove lower RH trim piece ( has "performance suspension" emblem on it)
remove lower dash trim piece on LH side (it houses the driving light switch
remove the 2 screws from under the IP trim piece (between column and radio pod)
remove several screws from the underside of dash pad for the IP
REmove 1 screw from RH side
Remove 7 or so screws from IP assy
disassemble IP assy,
NOTE: It might be possible to leave the dash pad on
When you remove the IP from dash, unscrew the tilt steering lever as it may interfere with disassembly. AND lower the steering wheel to its lowest position.
Good luck take your time, do not break anything

86 would have an electronic speedo. You would need a cluster like this one: Originally posted by 1-MEAN-T/A
