bought an ebay dash pad...anything to repair it with?

Going to be doing some searches on the subject, but I thought this time of year would bring some good knowledge out from the thirdgen members.

Anything I can do to fix it up?

I know there is some sort of vinyl repair kit, but I don't know much about it. It's been discussed here before. I'm sure a search or another member will turn up something.

Well - I did some reading and decided to give the Permatex Vinyl repair kit a try. It's available at Auto Zone at least. I've got the first few steps done and the new patch is drying. I'll report back on more results tomorrow when I can color match it and apply the texture.

Out of curiosity, how much did you pay for that shipped? I bought a mint one here for $70 shipped.

Probably cost 10x as much as a crack free used one.

I also paid 70 shipped give or take.

Update on the project: Looks better, but not perfect. It's clear there's been a patch job if you're looking it over, but it's much better than my previous dash and/or the previous cracks. My next project will be a leather/vinyl wrapped dash (or that dash fix it place).

I'll see about taking some poor quality pics with my webcam tomorrow. Hopin Santa will bring me a digital camera
