pins only?

can u run only hood pins without the stock latch? i though of a cool intake idea but the hood latch is in the way. just curious

yes you can. i dont have a latch on mine and it works fine.

same here on my 82 Z28, all latch parts removed, just two pins hold it down, works great no problems at all

click on the word Z-28, its blue or red depending on if you have ever clicked it before or not

im soon going to scrap that hood and put a flat 87 base hood on it that i have laying around that i was gonna scrap, the purple hood is going to scrap, and that big plastic thingy on it too, i dont like it



il have to drill holes and stuff again, but im going to relocate the pins so they are not so close to the fenders and make then line up with the headlights- more out in the open area of the hood corners


the only reaosn they are so far out into the corners right now is because the PO that installed them was too lazy to extend the rad support out with some pieces of metal

if you have any Q's then ask me
