I'm up at school and my SFC's just arrived at my home some 60 miles away. I'm getting them welded in next weekend and need to roll back the carpet and pull the seats form my understanding. Usually I'd just go out to the car and poke around at it for awhile until i figured it out, but seeing as its no where near me and I'm going to be on a tight schedule i was wondering if anyone could kinda point me in the right direction as how to pull the seats and roll back the carpet where the SFC's are getting put in. the seats are easy enough, theres 4 nuts that hold each one down, then just disconnect and electrical wires if you have power seats and they lift out. the carpet im not sure cause i havent done it myself...yet

I havent done the SFC yet on my car but i dont think you need to take out your seats or carpet in your car. The SFC go under your car.

They do, but when they weld them in there is a chance that the heat from the welder could set the carpet on fire through the floorpan. Thats why its best to pull the carpet back, and to do that you have to pull the seats out possibly. Easiest way to pull the carpet back would be to remove the rocker covers, kick panels and sail panels, or at least loosen them up to the point wher you can pull the carpet out from underneath them.

do those just unscrew like everything else on the car?

wow!! i did not know that at all. I learn somthing new every day. I will do that then when i intall the SFC on my car. Dont want my car to go down in flames

Be careful when pulling the kick panels, there is a screw right in the middle hidden behind the carpet. Most people forget about this one and end up breaking it when they rip the panel out in frustration when they cant find it.

Ya cant see it and 9/10 aint got a small recess to just shove it into

Best thing to do there is remove all your interior and carpet, except the dash, then put the drivers seat back in till ya get it welded
You can survive without window switches, a radio and some extra road noise for a day cant you?

Prolly needed a good cleanin out anyways
I scrub the interior chassis with clorox when i buy a new car to get rid of any unpleasant evidence of previous owners

Remember to paint the welds and bubbled paint on the cars interior with something, rattle can primer works great since none of the areas you spray will be seen

New welds rust FAST and youll want em protected since you just layed the money down for em
