i am going to be painting my vehicle again this spring, and i want to change the color, and i want to know which is the best paint to use?
im not sure which color ill be going with yet, but just wanted some ideas on what would be the best paint.
has anyone heard of DUPONT? i seen a car my uncle painted it the paint looks very nice. is there better?

i did my car in standox base with PPG clear. some other companies that i have used and would reccommend are:
PPG
standox
dupont
sikkens
RM
dimont(sp)
i also heard that glasso is good stuff. if you are on a "budget" dont even bother looking at standox, sikkens or house of kolors

PPG clears are great. But i have found that they are not very user friendly. If U know how to paint there ok.. I use depont very easy system. But like other have said there are alot of good paint brands..

if you use dfx-11 supercharger with the concept 2002 clear then there is 1 more activator that is used (i forget the number) then it is mixed 1:1:1/2, which is simple when useing mixing cups, and it makes the clear go further
Dupont stuff is just as good as the ppg stuff, and glasseret makes great stuff as well. i try to stay away from sikkens, had bad experences with them, and house of kolor is expensive considering the same stuff can be had from ppg or dupont for less.

Ive used PPG and Dupont and both are great (probably most other large brands are as well) I think you should be more concerned with the prep and application than the paint brand.

My personal experiance has shown me that the PPG clears tend to lay out better than the duponts. Dupont always seems to have more texture to it than the PPG.
