Is this paint bad?

I plan on going to 1 day body and paint place. Just wondering how bad of quality the paint they use is, heres a quote from the site " The best urethane paint that DuPont has to offer. This product contains Tinuvin, an ultraviolet absorber designed to protect your paint from the harsh rays of the sun."

Its going cost $519 plus tax. Also is white an easier color to paint, like does it show less blemishes compared to other darker colors.

I'm sure the paint is halfway decent however i'd be much more concerned with the overall quality of the work. If theyre just gonna paint over your current paintjob, it really doesnt matter what paint you use because it will turn out ****ty regardless.

1 day? You can't properly prep a car in 1 day!

Lighter colors hide blemishes, Darker colors magnify blemishes. If the car is relatively dent free then go for it if that's what's in your budget. Just know they won't spend much time doing any repairs or a great job at masking things. The more prep work you can do at home the better it will be.

It's just going to be a single stage paint, no clear. But if you take care of it, it will hold up just fine IF the prep work was good. If they paint right over your existing paint, then your going to have problems. It might look good for a year but then its going to start flaking and etc.

That being said, I would highly recommend prepping it yourself. It is easy to do but time consuming. There are a few guides on this board that explain it or just google it.

been there done that...paint started cracking less than a month later, it was only a race car so i didnt care so much, but yeah...all though i did take my 89 to macco and i had it painted and for over 6 months before i totalled it and not a single blemish or flaw, but i paid them a little extra for them to prep it good that was only 1400 paint job all said and done and they put my ws6 hood and front nose on, but i would deffinately say that you will deffinately be a lot happier saving your money and getting a well done paint job.

looks good. Red is a really forgiving color when it comes to dings and dents. I did all the prep on my mazda before I got it painted for 300 at maaco. Came out damn near flawless. Hit it with a buffer and some polishing compound, it popped. Looked like it had a clearcoat.
