adding ground effects

hey guys i have a question. i have an 86 camaro sport coupe. as you can see in the picture i have no type of ground effects. i like the style on the 82-84 z28 camaro. does anyone know if i swithed to this what all i would have to do. would it involve replacing the whole front andor rear bumper. and what about the newer style kits like the irocs? thanks alot justin.

I put 1987 ground effects on my 84 Camaro, which originally had none.

You'll need the front and rear bumper cover, rocker panel moldings, aft quarter panel moldings, and the stamped steel bracket that holds the rocker pieces in place.

Its not really a hard project, but I had it easy with a parts car so I could check my measurements against it to make certain everything was right. You'll need to weld on the steel rocker supports, drill the fenders for the appropriate pieces, swap bumper covers, and paint the whole thing. I think it was totally worth it.

BTW, the hood will be FOR SALE in 2 months. Its a VFN 4" cowl induction hood. Prefer pick up in Ohio.

i personally like the look of the 84' Z28.. I have both an 84 Z and 1 84 berlinetta, and an 83 berlinetta.. with them siting side by side, the z looks a bit more agressive. So I think i will be putting the 84 effects on my 83 (once i find an 84 in the salvage yard or something). and there is not alot of difference between the 83 and 84 bumpers, not like ther is between the 84 and 85+ bumpers. as the look similar, but do not look alike. Marker light area is different and do on. Also i think the way the GFX on the front and rear bumpers attched differently. I think... not positive.

i also agree with mw66nova i like the way it looks now but i also think it would be slick with the ground effects but for a while i'mma leave it stock, except the hood
