My girlfirend just bought a V6 firebird with old paint and a torn up drivers side fender. I will be searching for another fender in the junkyard soon to replace it before the car gets paint but Im not very educated on firebirds or TA's. Will any 82-92 firebird fender work? I just want to make sure before I buy anything.

no it is model specific, the firebirds will only fit firebirds 82-92 and same with camaros. I am not sure how it goes with and without ground effects though. sorry maybe someone else can answer that.
Why get junkyard fenders. I checked out the auto body place around here that I use and I got 2 new replacement fenders for 160 bucks canadian. I put this off for 2 years because I thought it was going to set me back 500 bucks I almost pooped my pants when he said they are 80 bucks a fender

Anyways.....fenders aren't much. I would spend the money and get new ones rather than get something you're gonna spend awhile looking for to find what you want and even then may not be 100%

Im getting both front fenders, nose in good shape, rear bumper, all gfx's, and a good back glass and spoiler for $300! I thought I was just gonna buy the one fender but it needs both and getting all the other parts makes it a good deal.
91-92 firebird fenders are different than 82-90. A junkyard fender in good condition would be better than a new fender. Aftermarket fenders for any car using have some kind of problems fitting. I had a time trying to get my aftermarket fender on right and still doesn't look too great.

I haven't run the vin yet but Im going to soon. The parts are off of an 86 GTA and Im getting all the parts I listed above. I just wanted to make sure they would work before I bought them. Trending Topics

Well this all depends on the quality of the aftermarket fenders now doesn't it? Some are crap, some are good. The ones I got aren't perfect, its a little bit of tapping around the back support but no biggie.

look for a GM fender in a junkyard or a swap meet.try to find the cleanest fender.stay away from aftermarket stuff, doesnt fit right and the lines dont match up on top of the wheelwells.
