A New question 4th gen swap
Hello,
Either I'm not finding the search for 4th gen swaps right or no one has asked the question. So I'll do it hopefully somebody can help me/us. When doing the 4th gen dash/console/seat swap. Can I continue to move to the seat panels behind the doors and the rear hatch panels that line it? I don't see why they wouldn't fit. At the moment my Formula is at the shop getting painted. When I go to install the interior I'll go 4th gen. But instead of stopping at the doors why not go completely back. If any one has looked into or knows or had attempted, feedback is appreciated!! Thank you.
Jon

Thank you. Iguess I'll stick with the old setup. Unless you know anyone who has done a custom setup. I'd like to see what they had come up with.
thank you

Yep
I'm doing this. Trying to anyway. No pics or much progress as I'm on leave this month, and you aren't searching hard enough I'd think, cause I know I posted a year or so back, and there are some topics around. I've seen 2 people do it, requires a lot of cutting in some areas, generally its better to stay 3rdgen on most all the trim pieces. I'm doing it cause I want black, as well as the better dash. Case ya didn't know, Seats are direct bolt in, but rear leave a small 1-2" gap, and I don't recall if the upper half of the rear seats swaps. Doors require cutting to fit but nothin huge. the center console can be done, but depending on if you are man or auto, cutting is required, generally on the auto, using the manual console. Dash, basically tear old one out, figure out a way to make the mechanical spedo work with electronic gauges, and you're basically good to go, minus the cutting, once again. and you loose leg room on the passenger side. Hope that helps.
